When someone is working, the math gets brutal…

  • Every "what are we doing today?" is asked of the same person.
  • Every answer is thirty small decisions wearing one big decision's coat.
  • Every decision gets made by someone in a swimsuit, for no salary.

So nobody is off. And nobody rests.

Because a 2009 research review found that vacation benefits often faded within two to four weeks of coming home…

Thirteen years. She's tried the others. That's the point.

  • Jan Thiel Beach — they see the turquoise car and open the gate… as if Tommy Coconut himself has arrived. First time on the island, and you belong.
  • Tommy's boat with Captain Magic Mike… so the kids drive the boat, you get the photo, and the school gets a story it can't fact-check.
  • An intro dive for everyone, with Julien… so the one thing you always said you'd try, you try — with someone who's done it a thousand times and still gets excited.
  • The week with the family — fishing, snorkeling, the Sunset Club bonfire… so there's always something happening, and never anything you have to attend.
  • Beach gear, down to the beach safe… so your suitcase is swimwear and opinions. Put the swimwear on top. They will see the pool. It's over.

Come home rested (instead of needing a vacation from the vacation)

  • Guaranteed late check-out… so the last day is a day, not a checkout time. Stay in the pool until one of ours arrives. Then stay a bit longer.
  • Water, power, cleaning, taxes — in the one total… so the last thing you feel is the water, not the bill. Kim believes you'll switch the AC off when you go exploring. So far, she's right.
  • The bed guests go home and buy… so the sleep is part of the inclusions. Five guests have asked where to get it. We tell them.

Rest that arrives on day one (not day three)

The science on vacations is dry, but the point matters: a research review found the benefits often faded within two to four weeks. You have seven days here. Don’t spend the first one working.

  • Go from refreshing the group chat at 11 PM… to stretched out beside the pool at 11 AM.
  • Turn the week from your biggest job into your biggest memory… so the photos are of you in them, not taking them.

There are no silly questions. There's a group chat, and a family in it.

Seventy-one messages in our guest chats open with "silly question" or "sorry to bother you." Not one of them was. These are the ones every family asks — answered before you land, so the chat is for the photos.

"Is the Wi-Fi good enough for a call?"

Yes. There's a workspace for the one call that lands mid-vacation. One. We're counting.

"Do we need adapters?"

We tell you before you pack. Nobody has ever discovered a socket at midnight here.

"How do we charge the iCar?"

Free, on site. One of ours shows you on the tour. After that it's a cable and a coffee.

"How do we get into Jan Thiel Beach?"

They see your turquoise car and open the gate as if Tommy Coconut himself has arrived. No cash, no wristband, no explaining yourself.

"What time do we leave for the airport?"

One of ours drives you. We set the time; you set the alarm.

"What's included?"

Water, electricity, cleaning and taxes are included. On Easy, groceries are at receipt cost; breakfast, lunch and drinks are your own. Your personal week sets out what is included.

"Do we need reservations?"

The table is already yours. Walk in like a regular. It's your first time; nobody can tell.

"Coffee?"

You tell us your preference before you land. We handle the shopping; on Easy you cover the receipt.

What is a Dushi Week?

A Dushi Week is a seven-night stay in a private estate in Jan Thiel, Curaçao, planned and hosted by the Tommy Coconut family. We shape it around your people, occasion and pace.

What should we budget for separately?

International flights, travel insurance, personal shopping and optional experiences outside your agreed week. On Easy, grocery shopping is handled at receipt cost; breakfast, lunch and drinks are your own. Your personal website sets out the week and its total before you decide.

Is the per-person, per-night price a separate booking rate?

It is the whole-week price divided by your selected number of guests and seven nights, rounded to the nearest $10 for comparison. Dushi Week Easy for four is shown as $390 per person per night; the complete seven-night week is $10,950. It helps you compare the cost of a stay. Your booking is for the complete Dushi Week; the price per person changes with group size. Compare the inclusions as well as the nightly figure.

How do we know which dates and estate are available?

Tell Boy your preferred dates and how flexible they are. The family checks the estate and what it can arrange for your group before building your personal week. The website prices do not reserve dates.
